Agroforestry is a land use system that integrates trees and shrubs with crops. It has great potential for mitigating climate change, promoting adaptation to climate change, increasing biodiversity, and improving food security. Forest gardening is one application of agroforestry.
Holma forest garden which is located in southern Sweden is one of the oldest forest gardens in the Nordic countries. The objectives in Agroforestry i Nyland -project include advancing the adoption of agroforestry amongst farmers and developing silvoarable agroforestry system (Lill-Nägels) in southern Finland.
